Kelly Tractor Co. Holds a "Paving and Troubleshooting Techniques"

Kelly Tractor Co. held a "Paving and Troubleshooting Techniques" workshop
at its Corporate Headquarters, located in Miami at 8255 NW 58 St in Miami on April
1. Paving Contractors from all over South Florida attended this 1/2 day classroom
session and 1/2 day hands on experience training from Kelly’s Crushing and Paving
Specialist, Mike Wohlert. The day began with classroom instruction on the proper
steps that are recommended to pave with CAT Paving products, specifically the CAT
AP1000D Paver. CAT Paving Territory Manager, Jerry Salemi, was in attendance to
offer support and offer commentary during the 3-1/2 hour classroom session. The
class then moved outside to see a paving demo with a CAT paver paving with sand,

positioning systems allowing the group to have a true "hands on experience".
Customers also had the opportunity to see the compact paving products offered by
Mauldin Paving products
offered by Calder Brothers, such as the Mauldin M413XT maintainer and the MT-300
and MT-600 Tack Sprayers, where Kelly Tractor Co. serves as the dealer for the South
Florida area. Mauldin Paving Products Mauldin’s representative, Trevor Thielbar,
was on hand to answer any questions about the products they offer.
Customers also they heard a presentation from Top Con’s rep, Roger Croft, on Top
Con’s global positioning systems, commonly used by pavers to insure that asphalt
is applied evenly to the surface being paved.
Overall, the event was a success in allowing paving contractor to receive some valuable
instructional training on paving techniques while allowing them to see
Mauldin Paving products
and
Top Con
system.
